Happy Birthday Apple

Apple Turns 50-

I’ve been using your tech since before it was “cool” to use.

The Apple IIe was the first computer I ever laid hands on. I used to spend a lot of time playing Number Munchers—I absolutely loved that game. (Check it out here: Number Munchers)

From there, I moved on to the Mac SE and Mac Classic, playing Kid Pix and SimCity on those tiny black-and-white screens. Writing this makes me feel old!

I also remember printing banners on dot-matrix printers. The length was basically unlimited because you could use a whole ream of tractor-feed paper. It took about six months to finish a single banner… but hey, you could do it! (Just kidding, mostly.)

By high school, I was the one helping teachers manage their computer labs—most of which were just a sea of beige Macs.

It’s been a long journey. Needless to say: Happy Birthday, Apple.
